The new B.C. Home Owner Mortgage and Equity Partnership (BC HOME Partnership) program kicks in on January 2017. This new, three-year, $700-million initiative gives a hand-up to first-time home buyers by contributing to the amount they have saved for a mortgage down payment. Up to $37,500, or up to 5% of the purchase price, will be provided to qualifying first-time buyers through a 25-year mortgage loan that is interest-free and payment-free for the first five years.

You can then be ‘pre-approved’, which is the first step to getting you into an affordable home and getting you started in the market.
